Ruins, Reimagined: Playful Heritage Journey
Research
The Istria region of Italy is rich in Roman and medieval heritage sites. However, GAP Studio’s brand positioning and emotional drivers across its three core services—office spaces, hospitality venues, and private residences—have not been effectively communicated, leaving developers, corporate clients, and homebuyers unconvinced of the firm’s core value. European culture broadly values “architectural authenticity and harmony with nature,” whereas Chinese audiences tend to honor ancestral memory in heritage sites. This shared sentiment of “preserving history” serves as a unifying entry point for diverse stakeholders.
Strategy
Centered on “Playful Ruins Revival,” the brand transforms heritage sites into immersive experience venues. Through a comprehensive customer journey, VIP guests witness project case studies from “ruin to rebirth” and appreciate the added value generated by UNESCO World Heritage conservation.
Design
We guide VIP guests on a curated journey through castles, churches, and heritage ruins, where each step unveils a chapter of local legend and architectural evolution to deepen cultural resonance. From there, they follow a chef‐and‐sommelier duo as they select fresh meats at a traditional butcher’s shop, wander fragrant garden paths, tour a premium Piemontese winery, and visit an artisanal cheese dairy—culminating in a sensory feast of expertly paired wines and regional delicacies served at a historic manor’s dining table.
